The 20th Soong Ching Ling Children's Invention Award Macau Team won 2 gold, 6 silver, 7 bronze medals

          From August 14 to 17, the 2025 Soong Ching Ling Children's Future Science Day and the 20th Soong Ching Ling Children's Invention Award, co-organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the China Association for Science and Technology, were held in Xiong'an New District, Hebei. The Macau Innovation and Invention Association organized 15 works from six schools to participate in the exhibition. Under the leadership of Executive Vice President Chen Rong, a group of 31 teachers and students from Haojiang Middle School, Laozhao Middle School, Macau Peizheng Middle School, Macau Baptist Middle School, Taipa Fangzhong School, and Guangda Middle School attended the event. This competition was funded by some funds from the Education and Youth Bureau.
        This year's invention award has more than 57,000 young people from 31 provinces (cities, autonomous regions), Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia and Singapore actively participated in the competition, and more than 46,000 works participated, setting a record high. After review, there were 590 award-winning works, including 346 invention works (36 gold medals, 104 silver medals, and 206 bronze medals), 183 artificial intelligence (programming) works (20 gold medals, 57 silver medals, and 106 bronze medals), and 61 creative works. In addition, 95 excellent scientific and technological paintings were selected for exhibition.
          At the event, Wan Gang and Li Bin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Fan Weicheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Xia Jun, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Science and Technology Association Ge Huibo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xiong'an New District, Hebei, Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Xiong'an Group Co., Ltd., and 4 young representatives from Beijing, Yunnan, Hong Kong and Singapore jointly launched the 2025 Soong Ching Ling Children's Future Science Day. Chen Beili, Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Zhou Wenbiao, Member of the Party Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Wu Bo delivered speeches respectively.
          At the award ceremony, the work of Min Yuen, a classmate of Peizheng Middle School, “ IceGuardian X-Glide” and the works of Zeng Qiaohui, Feng Xiaoyue and Xiao Qitong, students of Taipa Fangzhong School, “ Zhiyu: personalized wound treatment assistant driven by AI image recognition, won the gold medal for innovation invention.
In addition to the above gold medal works, there are many other works that have won awards: Peizheng Middle School won 2 more silver, Haojiang Middle School won 2 silver and 1 bronze, Baptist Middle School won 1 silver and 3 bronze, Guangda Middle School won 1 silver, and Laozhao Middle School won 3 bronze. The Macau team won a total of 2 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze medals.
